Magento 2.4.6-p2

Needs extra steps

Some of these setups only work with a fix that is not in the release as shipped, so a plain composer create-project will not include it.

• Extra module

  Elasticsearch 8 needs magento/module-elasticsearch-8

2 of 2 setups using it pass

Stock 2.4.6/2.4.7 only talk to Elasticsearch 7. Add "replace": {"magento/module-elasticsearch-7": "*"} to composer.json and composer require magento/module-elasticsearch-8. The public mirrors carry builds that resolve on 2.4.6-p10+ and 2.4.7-p5+; earlier patch releases need the build from repo.magento.com.

• Composer fix

Alias the Elasticsearch 8 client for older patch releases

2 of 2 setups using it pass

Core on 2.4.6-p9 and earlier and 2.4.7-p4 and earlier pins elasticsearch/elasticsearch to ~8.5, below the ^8.15 that the mirrored magento/module-elasticsearch-8 needs. composer require "elasticsearch/elasticsearch:8.17.1 as 8.5.3" satisfies both.

• Core patch

Elasticsearch XSD rejected by libxml2 2.12+

30 of 39 setups using it pass

  Only needed on PHP 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, libxml2 2.12+.

Fixes "complex type 'mixedDataType': The content model is not deterministic" when a product is saved or the search index rebuilt. Needed wherever PHP links libxml2 2.12 or newer. Patch by Pieter Hoste, shipped upstream in 2.4.8 and Mage-OS 1.1.0.
